Founding Story

Why I Built This

I spent years reading the research — Seligman's PERMA model, Neff's self-compassion work, Kabat-Zinn's MBSR trials, Walker's sleep research, Duhigg's habit science — and kept thinking: why isn't this structured into something people can actually follow?

Existing apps like Calm and Headspace offer great content, but they're libraries — you pick what you feel like. There's no progression, no research-grounded sequencing, no way to know if you're actually building the right foundations before moving to harder skills.

CalmHealthyMind solves this with a single 28-week curriculum designed in the same sequence the research recommends: foundation → social connection → resilience → integration. Each week cites its source. Each habit prompt explains why you're doing it, not just what to do.

The AI assessment layer then checks your habit responses against the specific research embedded in the week — so you get feedback grounded in science, not generic motivational advice.
