Walking counts

“I used to think a walk wasn't "real" exercise. Now my daily walk is the base of everything.” — Kai

Kai, Winter Arc Day 22

Today's action · 15 min

Go for a walk today at a pace where you can talk but not sing. Even 10 minutes counts; if you can, add up to 20 or 30.

Why it works

The World Health Organization says any amount of physical activity is better than none, and lists walking as one of the most popular ways to be active. Its guidance for adults is at least 150 minutes of moderate activity a week, and brisk walking is a simple way to build towards it.
