Day 57 of 90 · Holidays

The minimum version still counts

“Holidays mean chaos. So my walk is now "just put my shoes on and step outside". Still a tick.” — Kai

Kai, Winter Arc Day 57

Today's action · 5 min

Write down the minimum version of each of your habits, the one you could do in two minutes in a busy house. Do at least one of them today.

Why it works

Gardner, Lally and Wardle note that missing the occasional opportunity doesn't seriously harm habit formation, and gains resume after a miss. Doing a tiny version on chaotic days keeps the routine alive until normal life returns.
