Day 5 of 90 · Start small

Lay out tomorrow tonight

“Shoes by the door, water bottle filled. Tomorrow's me just has to walk out.” — Kai

Before bed, set out the one thing tomorrow's habit needs: shoes by the door, the book on your pillow, the mat on the floor. It should take under five minutes.

Why it works

Rozin and colleagues found that moving food just slightly further away, about 25 cm, reliably cut how much people took. Small changes in how easy something is change what we do. Tonight you use the same idea in reverse, making the good habit the easiest option in the morning.
