Day 6 of 90 · Start small

One tick a day: track it

“A pen, a calendar, one tick. Seeing the row grow is weirdly satisfying.” — Kai

Kai, Winter Arc Day 6

Today's action · 2 min

Draw a simple grid on paper or use a wall calendar, and tick today's box the moment you do your habit. Keep it somewhere you'll see it.

Why it works

A meta-analysis of 138 studies by Harkin and colleagues found that monitoring your progress helps you reach goals, and the effect was larger when the progress was physically recorded. Gardner and colleagues also suggest a simple tick sheet during the early learning phase of a habit.
