Mix your practice
“Instead of ten of the same problem, I mixed three types together. Slower now, better later.” — Kai

Today's action · 15 min
In your next practice session, mix up different types of problem or skill instead of doing one type in a block. Spend 10 to 15 minutes on the mixed set.
Why it works
Rohrer and Taylor found that students who practised maths problems shuffled together, rather than grouped by type, did better on a test a week later, even though mixed practice felt harder. This is called interleaving.
