Day 68 of 90 · Learn
Teach it to someone
“I explained what I'd learned to my sister. Halfway through, I found the bit I didn't really get.” — Kai

Today's action · 10 min
Explain one thing you've learned to a friend or family member in two minutes. If no one's around, explain it out loud to an empty room or write it as if for a beginner.
Why it works
Nestojko and colleagues found that people who studied expecting to teach the material later recalled it more completely and in a better-organised way than those expecting a test. Preparing to explain pushes you to understand, not just remember.
Source: Expecting to teach enhances learning and organization of knowledge in free recall of text passages (Nestojko et al., 2014)
