Day 76 of 90 · Connection
Join a class or group
“I signed up for a Tuesday evening choir. I'm terrible, and I love it.” — Kai

Today's action · 10 min
Spend 10 minutes looking for one local class, club or group that meets regularly, like a walking group, choir, sports team or volunteering, and sign up or put the date in your calendar.
Why it works
Cruwys and colleagues found that joining social groups was linked to lower risk of future depression and, for people who were already depressed, to fewer symptoms and less relapse. Groups give you regular contact without needing to organise it yourself. If you're struggling with low mood, talk to a doctor too.
