Celebrate small wins

“Every tick gets a tiny fist pump now. It sounds silly, but I look forward to it.” — Kai

Look at your tick sheet and count your ticks so far. Pick a small, healthy way to celebrate the streak, like a favourite song, a call with a friend, or writing it down.

Why it works

Harkin and colleagues found that monitoring progress helps people reach their goals, especially when progress is recorded. Pausing to notice what you've done turns a long road into lots of finished steps. The celebration itself is a tip, not a research finding.
